"Today's Going to be a Scorcher!"

...great thing to hear when you flip on the news in the morning...isn't it? Well, a scorcher it was! I slapped off my alarm with full intention of getting up at 7:45 am. Next thing I knew, I rolled over to see Bailey's beautiful face next to me and saw the time...9:30. Yipes. I slept for 10.5 hours. That is way too long, even for a sleep monger like me!
Breakfast was a yogurt bowl. I am out of spinach and haven't had a green monster since Friday! GASP! I'm jonesing for my greens kids.

In the mix:

TJ's Triple Berry O's
Bear Naked Fit Triple Berry Granola
Blueberries
Ground Flax
TJ's 0% Greek yogurt (plain)

It was cool and creamy and did the trick.

I snacked on a plum and some "Tempting Trail Mix." This stuff is like a drug.

I decided to head over to the beach to take a dip due to the aforementioned "scorcher." I brought some lunch:
Ezekiel cinnamon raisin with almond butter and raspberry preserves. I didn't have any fruit in the house, so I was hoping Starbucks would pull through with the fresh fruit cup. I stopped to get my venti passion tea and I was in luck. For just $3.45 (insert eye roll) I had my very own cup of mediocre fruit salad! Thanks *bucks! (groan)

Dinner was some BBQ shrimpies which I doused in dry rub and hubbers grilled. I also made a delish quinoa salad to go along side.
It was quinoa, sliced grape tomatoes, squash, zucchini and red onion with a little lemon juice and olive oil. Heavenly. I can't wait to have leftovers tomorrow for lunch! My shrimpies look so measley in that pic!

I also enjoyed one of these with my meal:
(and while cooking as you can see in the pic). YUMM-O. I am a fan of Blue Moon and this is also a Belgian white ale. It was scrumptious!

Today was food shop day. I went to Trader Joes. That is fun for me. Leave me alone.

In my earth-friendly shopping totes, I brought home the above goodies: almond milk (no Almond Breeze...bummer), whole wheat pizza dough, organic baby spinach and arugala, creamy raw almond butter, organic broccoli, whole wheat pasta, organic strawberries, ranier cherries, TEMPTING TRAIL CRACK...I mean mix, a wata-melon.

But wait, there's more:
Fruit strips, zucchini, organic shredded mozzarella, bananas, multi-grain waffles, onions, soy cream sandwiches, Hemp Plus granola (it has marijuana leaves on the box...tee hee), Kashi H2H, Ezek, canned tomatoes and grape tomatoes.

Whew.
Today's workout is brought to you by the letter J. J is for Jillian. She is the queen of my world. I did "No More Trouble Zones" and loved/hated every minute of it. I wore my baby girl polar today and learned my stats for this workout:

Time: 55 mins
Calories: 395 (45% fat cals)
Max HR: 168
Avg. HR: 136

Pretty good stuff. My legs feel a little gelatenous at this point so I'm a little afraid that I might have screwed myself for my early morning run tomorrow. Let's hope not! I have my run planned and a dentist appointment tomorrow morning. Must wake up early!!!

Dude...I so love Shock Top as well. I only tried it because the bar was out of Blue Moon one time and I adored it. :)

I knew you would. I might even prefer it to Blue Moon!
