I’ll start with the most exciting news first, since it’s been a while and I’ve got a LOT of food pics to share. I ran a 5K on Saturday and set a new PR. The 5K was the “Tara Costa Run for Fitness and Education” in the town where I work. Tara was my favorite contestant on last season of the Biggest Loser. I loved her attitude and she did a great job in her weight loss. So when I heard about this race, I just had to do it!
Me with the host! We had a quick chat. Tara was very sweet and looks great!
Here are my race stats:
Distance: 5K
Official Time: 27:58
Avg. Pace: 9:01/mile
Division Place: 12th
Gender Place: 51st
Overall Place: 145/418
I was very pleased with this race. It was even better to see some of my students on the streets cheering me on!
My brother ran with me and also kicked some butt! He ran 26:26, placed 10th in his division and 113th overall.
I can only share my eats in detail from the last day or two, the others will be a collage of random eats. My memory is rusty.
Sunday:
My bro treated us to breakfast out. I had blueberry pancakes. YUM!
Lunch:
A new, delicious creation – Arnold’s thin (whole wheat) smeared with pesto and topped with fresh mozzarella and sliced grape tomatoes pressed in the panini press. Muy bueno.
Followed by some grapes.
Saturday:
Ezekiel with peanut butter and sliced bananas.
Lunch was at a friend’s shower. I am in the bridal party and was WAY too busy for photos. I had one slider and pasta salad.
Dinner:
PB Puffins and almond milk. (I know it’s lame, we ate late at the shower).
…and a pear.
Here’s some other eats from this hectic week…
Green monster Pumpkin oats Shrimp with quinoa salad Kashi H2H
Cinnamon-raisin oatbran
Half a tomato, basil and mozzarella panini and pasta fagioli soup Twinnings Herbal Unwind tea and a “Fig Newman”
Waffle sandwich with almond butter and superfruit spread
The new limited edition most amazing ZBar ever! Amy’s Vegetable Lentil soup, Arnold’s thin and apple
Also, Hubbers brought home this new Via instant coffee from Starbucks. I decided to give it a try.
I did not hate it…I did not hate it at all!
Stay tuned for an upcoming review of Amazing Grass products and a giveaway!
